E-communities

E-communities have created "islands" on the Internet where they keep users locked in by means of providing a link between the real-world physical social sphere of the users and their online presence. These have turned into powerful platforms for reaching specific target users who subscribe to "groups" and "channels" of informatio according to a fine-grained set of preferences.
The chanceof meeting someone "at home" is by far greater in these communities than what is the case with regular websites.

Dissemination of Ecoinnovation Research

Using environmental technologies and eco-innovation have been the centre of attention all over the world. The European Commision considers this sphere crucial for the future economic development of the EU. The support for research in eco-innovation is currently in FP7, CIP but also in many national and regional initiatives. What is missing is effective dissemination of research results, exchange of information, public access to information, and also public validation and feedback to researchers.
Fast development in last period are of so-called Web 2.0 and social networks open new possibilities for dissemination and awareness, but also for social validation. Information could be now easily shared and new technologies could not only disseminate dynamically research results, but they can also provide feedback to research communities.
